Scrap Away

Well this weekend was a blast!  We traveled down to St. George to see family and so I could go to the Scrapbook Expo with Darice.  I had never been to an expo, so I was really excited to experience it.  We got down there on Thursday night and spent some time with Joye and her family.  They are too cute!  Then on Friday is when the fun began.  We got to the expo around 11:30 and found a table right away.  Before we left though, we told Trent and Mike that we weren't going to spend any money.  Well, yea that didn't happen.  After we had mapped out our table we started walking around to the different vendors that were there.  The first one we came too we bought something.  Ha!  So after about 5 different vendors we decided we better slow down on buying things.
We scrapped for probably 3 hours and then decided to walk around again.  They had some buckets to put your name in for drawings, so we put our name in about 4 times.  As we were walking back to our table, Katherine's name got called.  Sweet!  About 3 names later, mine got called.  Even better!  Then as I was walking back to the table, my name got called again.  Score!  One of the vendors was like man how many times have you been up there.  Ha!  Darice was a little frustrated by this time, cause her name hadn't been called.  But just wait, the best contest of all for Darice was coming up.  The dance contest!  She was shaking it like crazy!  She got picked to be in the top 10, but then didn't win.  (You know they always pick the WORST dancers to win)  She did get a prize for participating though.  We entered contests all night and won little prizes.  The best contest of all was the yelling contest.  We had to get a group of 5 people together and yell "We Love Basic Grey," and which ever group yelled the loudest won.  We were group #2 and we did pretty darn good.  We did so good, we had to have a yell-off between us and group #3.  But in the end, we pulled it off and got a sweet packet of Basic Grey paper.  We played little games all night and had a blast!  (Robyn you missed out)  I hope they have one in the spring, if not I will be back next year for sure!

It was great to get out of the cold and to see family!  We love you!
