Scrapbooking in California
I just got back from Michael's, seeming as that's the closest store to a so called "scrapbook" store here in Burbank, and I couldn't believe it. I wanted to buy a cartridge for my cricut, so I went and found the one I wanted. On the box it said Empty Box. So I took it to the sales lady and asked her if they had anymore of them in the back. As she was in the back looking, I looked to my right and saw all of the pens. As I looked closer, I realized that they were locked up behind a cage. I couldn't believe that a simple scrapbook pen would be locked up! The sales lady finally came out and said that they didn't have anymore. I asked why it said Empty Box on the front and she said "well we have to lock these up, so all of them say that." Ok, I can understand locking up pens because of taggers, but a cricut cartridge. Are they serious! Anyway I was very frustrated after I left the store because I realized that anytime I need even a pen, I have to ask a sales associate to unlock or look in the back for me. It looks like I will be calling Darice to get me supplies if I need any. I have been so spoiled living in Utah when it comes to scrapbooking!
