This past week we learned more about Proposition 8, which will be voted on in California on November 4th. This Proposition will protect the definition of marriage as being between a man and a woman. Passing this proposition is very important to the future of our children, families, and religious freedoms. Even if we do not live in California, we all have friends and/or family who live in California and can vote. We need to let our friends and family members know that they must register by October 20th in order to vote YES on this very important issue. I just don't understand how anyone can be against two people deciding to commit to each other for life, no matter what the "term" may be. I think if your son or daughter were gay and wanted to live life like any other American, you would hope that others would respect their wishes. I hope you are never in the position to be treated badly for being different.
