Sacramento

This past weekend we had the opportunity to go visit Mike's parents. We left on Thursday after work and came back Sunday. It was so nice to have Friday off for a long weekend. So on Friday we headed up to Sacramento to see Mike's grandma and uncles. They couldn't meet us until 5:00, so we decided to walk around Old Town Sacramento. I love places like this where there are just random shops to stop at and different sights to see. Here's a funny story as we were driving there. We got off the freeway and Dick wasn't exactly sure which way to go. So of course there is this "tough guy" behind him that starts honking at us cause we are going too slow. So Dick gets over and then figures out that he needs to turn right. So we ended up right behind the "tough guy" that honked at us. So Mike and I see him looking in his review mirror and side mirror at us cause he is so mad. Keep in mind I mean "tough guy" because he has a mohawk and tattoos everywhere on him. So we turn right and are still behind this guy. Well for the next 4-5 turns we turn every way the "tough guy" does. Mike and I notice this, but don't say anything to Dick because we can see the guy looking in his mirrors the whole time. So we get to Old Town and the "tough guy" turns off to the left and stops. So Dick drives right on by. Well I look back and the guy has gotten out of his car and as his arms up like he wants to fight. Dick happens to look back to look for a parking spot and so the guy thinks Dick is looking at him like picking the fight. Mike and I just start laughing and take a deep breath because we hope it's over. (I guess we are used to living in LA!) It was too funny to us, but maybe you had to be there to appreciate it. Anyway, we walked around Old Town and looked at all of the different shops and took some pictures. Oh after Old Town we stopped by to see the Sacramento temple cause Mike and I had never seen it. It's so beautiful as are ALL of the temples! We went to dinner with everybody at 5 and stayed at the restaurant for 4 hours just talking. We don't see Mike's grandma or uncles very often, so we have a lot to catch up on! All in all it was a fun, relaxing weekend.
